Edgewood church supports various missionary efforts in the states and internationally.
The countries where our missionaries serve are Costa Rica, Peru, Bosnia, England, Belguim, Romania, Africa, India, Germany, Haiti, and in the United States.

Peru: David and Kay Block have served as missionaries in Lima, Peru with the Evangelical Free Church Mission since 1995 through the teaching of English and administration. Kay is a sister to church member Scott Vossekuil. You can contact them at David.Block@efca.org.

Mostar,Bosnia-Hercegovina: Cory A. is capitalizing on his language and cultural training as he is involved with multiple ministries including youth discipling, outreach retreats in the mountains, summer camps, house group Bible studies, team times, English classes, and hosting ministry teams from the USA. "Ultimately seeing decisions for the Messiah and seeing people grow is the highlight; and being part of a process to see others make the same decision." Costa Rica: The Happ Family is making disciples of Jesus Christ in Costa Rica with ReachGlobal which is part of the Evangelical Free Church ministries. They have recently moved from being missionaries in Honduras. The Happs can be reached by email at InHisGrace@HappFamily.com

Belgium: John and Anita Koeshall serve in Students for Christ which is an organization whose goal is to reach the secular university students of Europe for Jesus. The ministry is active in nine countries in Europe. The Koeshalls often travel separately and are active in ministry and training in Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, and Southern Asia. England: Todd C. and his wife, Rebekah, are currently serving with ReachGlobal (EFCA) in Birmingham, England. They minister with a multi-cultural team among the many British ethnic minorities. They encourage the local churches in education and outreach. Their main work is making disciples of Christ and planting a church by way of “loving their neighbors as themselves.”

Romania: Marcel M. serves as an evangelist, preacher/teacher, youth leader and deacon in Romania in a town about 42 miles north of Galati. They purchased a house in their village to become their home church and serves as host to evangelistic events as well.

West Africa: Rick Slager is serving with Equip International as West Africa- Rural Development Organizer.
Rick's responsibility will be to research opportunities for rural development and sustainable micro industries in the region. While Equip International is a not for profit organization, Rick's responsibility will be to help indigenous families find income generating tasks to support their families and create jobs in their communities.
The over reaching goal is to alleviate poverty, promote health and education, restore dignity and strengthen the effectiveness of the witness of the Christian Church in West Africa.

Tennessee: Bruce and Jackie Redmond serve as the Southeast District Church Planting Coordinator. As coordinator, Bruce offers assessment for the planting couples, helps equip skills through the Evangelical Free Church's Bootcamp, helps find coaches from experienced church planters and pastors. They also offer workshops, coaching and resources for lay driven church starts or those established churches desiring to plant new churches. Alaska: Victor and Dawn work through SEND International as missionaries in Alaska. They invest time building relationships and working with the tribal administrators there. Winter in Alaska ranges in temperature from -40 to +40 F. The main activity is playing basketball as well as ice fishing. Many travel by snowmobile. Gas is around $7.00 a gallon. Stevens Point, WI: Serving in Wisconsin are Rev. Don Price and his wife Julie. Don is Director of Church Health in the Forest Lakes District which covers the Waupun area. He began this ministry in 1999 after serving as senior pastor in two Free Churches and being on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ for 13 years. Belvidere, IL: Philip DelRe Philip DelRe is the founder and president of Voice in the Wilderness Ministries, an international preaching, teaching, and publishing ministry dedicated to evangelism and discipleship training. Serving as a chaplain for the Cook County Jail in Chicago for the last 18 years, he has also been privileged to teach in Bible colleges, pastors? conferences, churches, and prisons across the country and around the world. Waupun, WI: As a missionary to area young people, Scott Ritzema is reaching out to students in a variety of ways. With outreaches at the Union ( a local teen center) and at the local schools of Waupun and Rosendale, Scott gets involved at games, practices, and activities seeking to build relationships with them and sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Haiti/Dominican Republic: John Martinez serves with G.O. Ministries (Great Opportunities in Global Outreach). John is responsible for all ministry activities, facilitating short-term teams, and building partnerships of ministry in Haiti. He serves as the primary encourager for G.O. Kandern, Germany: Mark and Karen Giebink are ministering in Kandern, Germany (southwest corner of Germany) where they serve on the staff of Black Forest Academy (BFA) . It is an international Christian school providing an English language education for grades 1 through 12. It serves the children of missionaries and international business families who want a North American curriculum that incorporates a Christian worldview. BFA has an enrollment of approximately 325 students, which include roughly 150 students in the residential boarding program for grades 7 to 12. The Giebinks can be reached at giebink5@yahoo.com
India: Bill (Joan) Schmidt of our congregation goes to India for a month each winter to help with various ministries focused around an orphanage near Hyderbad. They work with Life Saving Ministries International.
