What's Happening At Edgewood for the Women?
Springtime Splendor Refresher –– Please join us for a Mother’s Day Weekend Brunch and hear speaker Tiffany Thompson from Life Promotions present “Espresso for your Soul – The Display of God’s Splendor”. Saturday May 11th, 2013 from 9am – 11:30am, doors open at 8:30am, at Edgewood Community Church in Waupun. Tickets only in advance $5 per person -- open to ALL ladies ages 14 to 100+! Invite your mom, sister, aunt, daughter, and girlfriends to this fun and refreshing morning - and enjoy a delicious breakfast too! Tickets will be available for purchase the month of April at church between services at the Welcome Center and also at The Vineyard Books and Gifts in Beaver Dam. To help in keeping to costs within our budget, we are looking for bakers to prepare sweet breads, coffee cakes, and muffins for this event. In addition, we are also looking for volunteers to help out in making this event a big success - we will need ladies to help with set-up ( Friday afternoon or Saturday morning) and clean-up, assistance with serving beverages and food set-up, ticket taking, greeters, and general helpers. Ladies Kick Back Night in Fond du Lac - Friday April 19th at 7pm Please join us for an evening of refreshing and fun entertainment, along with some great fellowship and light refreshments. We will be showing the recently released DVD by Christian comedian Anita Renfroe. This will be a casual evening to relax, meet new friends, and have a good laugh or two. Please come and bring a friend. In order to plan for refreshments, there will be a pre-sign up at the Fond du Lac Welcome Center, or use the Friendship Register. Where?? The Blue Heron Apartment's Clubhouse located at W6800 Blue Heron Blvd, Fond du Lac (West on Hwy 23 past Menards,left onto Cty T, first left into the apartments and the clubhouse is to the right).
Community Table - May 3rd We will be preparing and serving lunch at the Waupun Community Table on Friday May 3rd. We are in need of volunteers to help with set up, assistance for serving, and clean-up afterwards. Please consider serving through this very worthwhile effort in our community. The next opportunity to serve at the Community Table for our church will be June 14th. A BIG THANK YOU for making our Easter Food Drive a SUCCESS!! Our pantry shelves are stocked again! Please considering grabbing a bag of food for someone you know in need of groceries - a little will go a long way in letting that person or family know you care and it's a non-threatening way to share God's Word with the message included in the bag.
Sewing Group to Meet the last time for this year in April - Please drop off your completed dresses and shorts that will be sent to Haiti in May. We'll meet to finish up projects on April 23rd Tuesday evening from 6pm – 8pm and also on Thursday April 25th in room 125 from 9am – 11:30am. Women of Faith - Believe God Can do Anything Event Retreat - Sept. 27th and 28th - We are currently selling tickets for next year's event retreat. The price is currently $91 per ticket, until we sell 50 tickets (WE HAVE 10 LEFT at this price) - remaining tickets are priced at $101. We have excellent seats this year and we will have bus transportation and hotel packages available also, along with a convenient payment plan. As a special offer from the WoF organization, the 50 first people purchasing a ticket will receive the DVD from last year's event 'Celebrate What Really Matters" FREE!!
