Ministry to Men at Edgewood
The Men of Edgewood is who we are, and Ministry to Men is what we do! We’re not just about specific groups, but consider all men who attend Edgewood to be a part of this ministry. We are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ and our spiritual journey for discipleship occurs on 3 levels; large gatherings (weekend church services), small groups, and intentional spiritual friendships. As men we are also called to Authentic Manhood (how God defines manhood) and not how society describes manhood.
Your First Visit
When you come for the first time, expect to receive a warm welcome in a casual and friendly environment, and there’s usually some snacks and drinks available! Current groups for men include; Men’s Fraternity (Monday nights – 6:30 p.m., Large Group Room in Education Wing), JourneyMen (2nd and 4th Sundays – 7:00 a.m., Education Wing Room 119), and a 6:45 a.m. prayer group that meets on Thursdays in Café Edgewood.
We are always in prayer for the ‘empty chair’ in our room, and so our leadership team and all the Men of Edgewood would love to have you come and fill it!
Some of the special events we enjoy together includes the No Regrets Men’s Conference held the first Saturday in February and cookouts (usually late spring and late summer). These events are sponsored by the East Central Wisconsin Men’s Ministry.
Our fall season at Edgewood kicks off with what’s become known as our “Festival of Fried Foods”, which includes a fish fry and deep-fried cheese curds, among other specialties!
